Fund Strategy

The 13D Activist Fund seeks to invest in 20 to 40 activist situations, selecting investments based on an analysis of each 13D filing event, including the activist's track record, activism type, sector, and likelihood of success. The fund follows 10 to 15 activists and aims to realize enhanced shareholder value through these targeted investments. The strategy centers on four key activist catalysts: corporate governance changes, operational improvements, strategic mergers and acquisitions, and financial optimization. The fund invests in approximately 15-25 stocks selected from approximately 2,500 live 13D filings representing the best activist catalysts in the market. Roughly 75% of portfolio positions have a shareholder representative on the Board, reflecting an extreme focus on governance within ESG. The Adviser focuses on situations where shareholders improve or participate in corporate governance, influencing management. The Adviser actively seeks out companies with poor corporate governance, believing that supporting their transition to good corporate governance offers greater social and economic benefits.
