With a still-high $91MM interest and a ~10% interest rate, which is a 200-300 bps premium to similar peers, there is still an opportunity for improvement.

Basic-Fit NV Pitched by Buckley Capital

- Basic-Fit is the largest owner of low-cost gyms (similar to Planet Fitness in the US) in Europe. Basic-Fit has an absolutely dominant position in the space, with over 1,600 gyms in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. Basic-Fit would get all the benefits of their gyms being open 24/7, and the entire €35 million cost goes away.
- In a less optimal but still positive outcome, Basic-Fit can roughly halve their staffing cost by switching from contractors to full-time employees.
- What this means in practical terms is that 2026 consensus numbers are far too low. Consensus EBITDA assumes the €35 million investment stays forever, which will not be the case.
