In Q4 2025, the Riverwater Small Cap Strategy underperformed the Russell 2000 due to stock selection and factor headwinds, as lower-quality factors (such as high short interest and negative FCF) outperformed. Energy, IT, and Financials contributed positively, while Health Care, Consumer Staples, and Industrials dragged. Riverwater successfully exited Centrus Energy (LEU) after achieving full valuation and reduced its position in CNX Resources (CNX). The fund initiated new positions in BioHarvest Sciences (BHST), Kodiak Gas Services (KGS), and NPK International (NPKI), and added to Adeia (ADEA). It fully exited HealthStream (HSTM) and Integer Holdings (ITGR). Looking to 2026, the PM expects a strong rotation back to fundamental quality driven by Fed rate cuts.
