MJG Capital Fund Matt Geiger | “Ridgeline Minerals was the Featured Investment in the July 2024 MJG partnership letter. The Ridgeline position was first initiated in a September 2022 financing priced at C$0.20. Between participation in two subsequent financings and a series of open market purchases, the MJG partnership's cost basis sits at an average of C$0.16 per share. The Ridgeline share price has suffered a 36% decline YTD, as drill results from last year's programs at Selena and Swift did not live up to market expectations. Ridgeline's future continues to hinge on these two projects, with a new drill program currently underway at Selena funded by South32 and additional drilling expected at Swift later this year funded by Nevada Gold Mines (NGM). Ridgeline announced on May 14th the commencement of a US$4.4 million drill program at Selena. The 2026 drill program will include a minimum of three holes. South32 is on track to meet its initial US$10 million earn-in requirement at Selena with the completion of this program, which would result in South32 earning a 60% interest in the project. Ridgeline continues to provide its shareholders with exposure to discovery funded by credible and deep-pocketed partners. While not fully appreciated by the market, the company's persistent efforts at Selena yielded a legitimate sulfide discovery in 2025 that is actively being followed up by a South32-funded drill program. At the currently depressed share price, the expected partner budget in 2026 now exceeds 50% of Ridgeline's enterprise value. This is an abnormally high ratio relative to prospect generator peers, suggesting an increasingly attractive risk/reward profile ahead of a pick-up in news flow later this year.” | NEUTRAL | Q2 2026 Aug 7, 2026 | View Pitch |
